It is a Upland Buzzard that comes to Gyo-dong, Ganghwa-do every winter. This one is characterized by a much darker color of feathers than ordinary Upland Buzzard.

These days, a very rare Crested Lark is staying near Nanjeong Reservoir in Gyo-dong, Ganghwa, and is emerging as a hot place. I went to see this guy twice and met this bird new to me. It is a species of lark widely distributed in Eurasia and North Africa. Although it is a non-migrant bird, but can occasionally be found as a vagrant in Korea. ​

The weather is very cold these days in the morning, so it is a Long-billed Plover that came to Tancheon to prey around noon. The Long-billed plovers prefer to inhabit the shores of rivers, streams, and lakes with small, round pebbles and rocks. The long-billed plover is listed as a species of least concern on the IUCN Red List because of its wide distribution and large home range.

Despite the very cold morning, these are very cute Vinous-throated Parrotbills that chirps and feeds in flocks.

These are Western Great Egrets huddled together in the cold of Tancheon Stream early this morning.
