The bushy-crested hornbill is found in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Thailand. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. Females have a unique nesting behavior in which they stay alone in a mud-covered tree hole during incubation and are fed by other hornbills from outside the nest. It lives in groups.

It is found in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, and Thailand. The Bornean black magpie (P. atterimus) was formerly considered a subspecies. Despite its name, it is neither a magpie nor, as was long believed, a jay, but a Treepie.

The black hornbill lives in Asia in Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. This organism will only start breeding and nesting when there is a large supply of fruits available, and in trees of larger size.

It is a female and a male. Adult females and sub-adults are lighter blue.Adult males are intense blue on all areas of the body, except for the black eye-patch and grey vent.  It is found from the Himalayas through Southeast Asia to Sumatra. This species is named after its distinctive shade of copper-sulphate blue and has a dark patch between the eyes and above the bill base.
