
Oriental Magpie-robin is a juvenile. It is mostly seen close to the ground, hopping along branches or foraging in leaf-litter on the ground with a cocked tail. Males sing loudly from the top of trees or other high perches during the breeding season.

The female olive-backed sunbird builds the nest using grass, cotton, moss, lichens, leaf fragments, vegetable fibers, and spider webs, lined with bark or feathers. The nest has the form of a hanging oval pouch with a sheltered side opening, and lays eggs in May and June.

The black-nest swiftlet is found in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and subtropical or tropical moist montane forest. Its saliva is one of the main sources of edible nests for bird's nest soup.

The scarlet minivet is found in tropical southern Asia from Northeast India to southern China, Indonesia, and the Philippines. They are common resident breeding birds in forests and other well-wooded habitats including gardens, especially in hilly country.

The species is widely distributed west from the Indian subcontinent and extending east across Southeast Asia. Subspecies javanensis is smaller and found across the larger islands along the Malay Peninsula extending east to the Philippines.
