I saw two raccoons appear in Tancheon last summer for the first time. Originally endemic to East Asia, it is similar at first glance to raccoon in North America. So, they share names according to neighborhoods. A raccoon is called a raccoon dog in English. In Korean, raccoon is called an American raccoon because it is a raccoon-like animal living in the United States.

I saw two otters for the first time around 02.06 19:45 in 2024. I take a walk along Tancheon Stream, which takes an hour every evening. I saw a strange object moving in the dark that day, and I filmed it and checked and found that two otters were swimming to catch fish.
