Red-tailed Minla는 보통 활발하게 곡예적으로 먹이를 찾는 모습을 볼 수 있습니다.
수컷(위)은 등이 초코릿 갈색 (Chocolate-brown) 이고 바깥쪽 꼬리 깃털은 빨간색이다.
그리고 암컷(아래)은 등이올리브 갈색 (Olive-browm) 이고 바깥쪽 꼬리 깃털이 주황색-빨간색 (Red-olive)이다.
