This year, the infection of black cranes is especially noticeable among wild birds. Among the bird deaths confirmed to be highly pathogenic AI infection, 144 black-crowned crane deaths alone. It is known that only 18,000 black cranes, which are endangered migratory birds, remain in the world. Black cranes, which account for nearly 1% of the world's population, died of AI in Korea in just two months.
