Kentish plovers have an extremely wide geographical distribution and their habitats vary not just spatially but environmentally too. They are known to reside and breed in multiple types of habitat, from desert with ground temperatures reaching 50 °C to tundra.
Their chief prey is ants and other insects, which they find in decaying wood or on the ground. The eggs are white as is the case with many woodpeckers that nest in holes and a clutch of seven to ten eggs is laid during May and June.
In Europe it has been known as the white-fronted goose; in North America it is known as the greater white-fronted goose (or "greater whitefront"), and this name is also increasingly adopted internationally.
The Bean Geese that know us about autumn have already come to Cheonsu Bay.
It is the Common Kestrel that is hovering to hunt for prey.
